Lonicera periclymenum 'Belgica', also known as early Dutch Honeysuckle is an exceptionally pretty deciduous climber with large white and pink/red flushed flowers from late spring into summer which are followed on by small red berries.
The long tubular flowers are produced in circular clusters off a central bud and are initially slim and curved upwards until opening, when each individual petal curls back exposing the long stamens. The flowers are highly fragrant as well as bright and attractive and the white interior turns sunny yellow as the season progresses. The paired ovate leaves are a deep green with a slight blue tinge underneath.
Lonicera 'Belgica' is a fairly vigorous climber so will cover a wall, trellis, fence, pergola or any other type of framework very easily. It is a natural twining climber so will cling to structures without much assistance. Its heady floral scent is strongest later in the day or evening so to make the most of this, plant where the fragrance can be enjoyed to maximum effect, perhaps near to a window, door or seating area.
Plant your Lonicera 'Belgica' in a partly shaded position for the best growth although it will also tolerate full sun, and in any well-drained but moist soil. This is a low maintenance shrub where any pruning required is minimal but should a tidy up be needed, lightly prune immediately after flowering.

Delivery Time - Please note that delivery times are currently 2-7 days excluding bank holidays. *Some troughs, trees and premium products may take up to 14 days delivery. We are working through existing orders as quickly as possible to deliver new orders within this timescale.

Nominated Day Delivery
Choose a delivery day that suits you with our new Nominated Day Delivery option at checkout. Whilst our standard no signature delivery means you don't need to take time away from other committments to receive your order, we understand that there are times our customers want to make sure they are present to accept delivery, either to plant straight away or to store somewhere safe and out of the way until you're ready to plant.
For an additional fee, you can make sure that your order arrives on the exact day you want it. Please note that this is additional charge to all qualifying orders, including those above the free delivery threshold for Standard Delivery.
Our Nominated Day Delivery is available year-round on the weekdays Tuesdays to Fridays, excluding the day after any bank holiday.
