The Mixed Native Garden Hedging Packs include species that offer some cover in the winter months, making them the ideal combination of plants for gardens and other circumstances where some screening is required. Not only does this collection provide some evergreen cover, but the native plants make the ideal habitat for a diverse array of wildlife whilst being eye-catching throughout the year with flowers, berries and haws.
The pack is made up of the following species: Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) 50%, Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus) 10%, Dog Rose (Rosa canina) 10%, Field Maple (Acer campestre) 10%, Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) 10%, and Wild Privet (Ligustrum vulgare) 10%. This garden native hedging mix contains a great range of species that offer visual interest and a habitat and food for wildlife. Included in this mixed native pack are Hornbeam and Wild Privet; the Hornbeam, although not evergreen, does hold on to its autumnal yellow foliage which gradually fades to brown before being pushed off by new growth in the spring, whilst Wild Privet is a semi-evergreen which will lose some of its leaves in a very cold winter but still provides good screening. These packs provide the perfect combination of native plants for a garden or other project which requires some year round interest.

Field grown, bare roots are young plants that are only planted when they are dormant, from autumn to spring. We lift bare root plants and despatch them during the season but they can be pre-ordered in summer. As they are cheaper to grow, they are one of our most affordable hedge planting options.
Pot Grown
Pot grown plants can be planted year round and make a convenient option. They come in a wide range of sizes, from 10cm to 2.5m so they're suitable for the majority of planting requirements.
Root Ball
Also field grown, root ball plants are scooped out of the ground using machinery to keep their root system intact and wrapped in bio-degradable, hessian sacks. They are mature plants that provide dense coverage very early on, ideal for when you need a thick hedge quickly.
Instant Hedging
Grown in troughs or bags that measure 50cm-1 metre in length and carefully clipped during the growing season. Our instant hegding troughs create a dramatic, instant hedge effect.
