Pittosporums
Pittosporums are neat, evergreen shrubs favoured for their lovely glossy leaves. The leaves can vary in colour from a pale, silvery-green to yellow, apple green, variegated or even a deep purple hue offering lots of variety. The stems of Pittosporum are also a striking dark wood which gives a pretty contrast on Pittosporums with a lighter leaf colour.
Pittosposrums are slow-growing and compact in structure, so very easy to maintain. Many varieties can even be clipped in the same way as topiary, into rounded or domed shapes, to create a planting focal point that looks good all year round.
Pittosporum shrubs do best in sun or light shade and sheltered from cold winds but otherwise are happy in any location. They can even be grown in pots or containers to add a pop of year-round colour to your patio planting or outdoor space.
