Mixed Native Hedging Hawthorn Based

This Hawthorn based mix for bare root native hedging is primarily Hawthorn - at least 60%, suitable for most conditions except for heavy soils and coastal/windy positions where Blackthorn is the better choice. The mix can also contain Bird Cherry, Dog Rose, Hazel, Field Maple and Blackthorn (the opposite to the main component). These species have been selected to provide a long period of interest for humans (in flower, berries, leaf colour, leaf shape) as well as varying wildlife foods and shelter.

*Different % mixes can apply to different root size packs due to specific availabilities in those sizes. Where certain species are unavailable in a particular bare root size, they wiill be substituted with extra bare roots from the remaining available species.
