Cotoneaster lacteus

Cotoneaster Lacteus has an abundance of small white flowers in early summer, followed by red berries which last well into winter. Cotoneaster likes sun but will tolerate shade and is suitable for coastal situations and poor soil. See more plants suited for exposed sites.

The key difference between Cotoneaster lacteus and Cotoneaster franchetii is that Late Cotoneaster has arching branches, a tendancy to trail downwards, and is most often seen supported by a wall or fence. See also Cotoneaster simonsii which has large, red berries, or Cotoneaster horizontalis for a deciduous variety of Cotoneaster.
