More commonly known as Winter Jasmine, Jasminum nudiflorum flowers from winter through to spring with small yellow star-shaped flowers on arching green stems. Although classed as deciduous, whilst it may lose its leaves in the autumn, they are soon after replaced by the pretty flowers. The stems also remain green giving Winter Jasmine year-round colour and appeal. It is for this reason that it has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Jasminum nudiflorum is technically a climber but it has more of a natural scrambling habit and will need to be tied in to climb vertically. It is most often planted against a wall over which it will happily scramble or trained up a trellis type framework.
Winter Jasmine is best planted in a sheltered location in full sun or partial shade and will grow happily in any soil type as long as it is well-drained. It will grow to around 2.5m height and spread but can be trimmed back easily.
As it is a winter flowering shrub, it benefits from being pruned annually. Jasminium nudiflorum flowers on the previous year's growth so it is best trimmed back after flowering has finished to then allow growth to develop on which next year's flowers will form.
Cut out any dead or diseased shoots to healthy wood or down to the ground. Additionally where lots of stems emerge, thin down the number of stems to avoid the pant becoming congested. Also take out any shoots that look weak or spindly back to a stronger healthier point or down to ground level. Annual rejuvenation of the plant in this way will ensure optimal health and flower production for you to enjoy.

Delivery Time - Please note that delivery times are currently 2-7 days excluding bank holidays. *Some troughs, trees and premium products may take up to 14 days delivery. We are working through existing orders as quickly as possible to deliver new orders within this timescale.

Choose a delivery day that suits you with our new Nominated Day Delivery option at checkout. Whilst our standard no signature delivery means you don't need to take time away from other committments to receive your order, we understand that there are times our customers want to make sure they are present to accept delivery, either to plant straight away or to store somewhere safe and out of the way until you're ready to plant.
For an additional fee, you can make sure that your order arrives on the exact day you want it. Please note that this is additional charge to all qualifying orders, including those above the free delivery threshold for Standard Delivery.
Our Nominated Day Delivery is available year-round on the weekdays Tuesdays to Fridays, excluding the day after any bank holiday.
