Spiraea japonica 'Golden Princess' is a colourful, deciduous, hardy shrub with lots of seasonal interest. The small, ovate young leaves are tinged bronze in spring, turning rich gold in summer and reddish again in the autumn. Clusters of small, rosy-pink flowers sit just above the foliage on short stems in late summer.

This pretty, dense and bushy shrub is tolerant of most soil types preferring moist and well-drained sites. It will thrive in full sun but will also do well in partial shade and can be planted in any location, sheltered or exposed due to its hardiness. Perfect for mixed borders.

Prune if needed after flowering. If overgrown the plant will tolerate a hard prune to renovate. Generally pest and diease free.
