Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Gilt Edge' Hedge Plants Description

Gilt Edge has beautifully fragrant creamy white flowers in Autumn. It is quite fast growing at approx 30-45cm p.a. and should be trimmed to shape in spring. This is a very tought plant and it performs best in partial shade or sun and is happy in dry soil, seaside gardens and exposed sites. Combine Oleaster 'Gilt Edge' with an abundance of evergreen plants for an impressive garden feature, full of seasonal characteristics.

As a rough indication bare roots can be planted at anything from 3 to 7 per metre and cell grown between 4 and 6 - the higher densities here would need to be planted in a double staggered row or zig-zag.
