Brachyglottis Hedge Plants Description

It is a tough evergreen with grey foliage and bright yellow daisy like flowers in Summer and early Autumn, hence it's name Sunshine. Think summer holidays with the best of weather! Both the leaves and new stems are covered in fuzzy white growth which has a sparkly quality so, at all times of the year, this is a great plant for compact hedging (good at about 1m or slightly taller).

Further Information

Although Brachyglottis 'Sunshine' likes a sunny spot, it will also perform in light shade, and is fully hardy. It is fine in any soil other than wet soil or badly draining soil. Drought tolerant and good for windswept areas.

For more information on planting distances please see our planting density advice section.

Pruning Advice
Pruning Advice

Brachyglottis Senecio Sunshine should be trimmed once after flowering to maintain a bushy shape - see also our entire selection of flowering hedge plants. You can prune most evergreen shrubs just before growth starts in mid-Spring.
