Dragon Head Bamboo Hedge Plant Description
Unlike other bamboo species, Dragon Head Bamboo is bushy from top to bottom with a weeping habit, which makes it ideal for an evergreen screen with an exotic look. Its stems are green and thin, with a rusty red casing. It is similar to 'Green Bamboo hedging', but Fargesia rufa.is a far less aggressive species compared to most bamboos, with a denser foliage, making it very desirable in many gardens.

Pruning Advice
Fargesia Bamboo is clump forming and should be pruned regularly to prevent it from spreading further than desired. Any spindly or unwanted canes can be cut back to ground level in spring and new shoots should be pruned once they are taller than the rest of the hedge.
