It's important to give your new hedging, trees or turf the nutrients they require and an easy way to do this is by ensuring your topsoil is of the highest quality. Topsoil is defined as the upper layer of the soil, i.e. the first 2-8 inches. This is where plants get the majority of their nutrients and where they concentrate the majority of their growth in the first couple of growing seasons. Requires pallet delivery, min order £200 (inc VAT) for free delivery.

Westlands Topsoil
Top soil is suited to all kinds of planting, including hedge and tree planting as well as laying turf. Top soil is great for levelling your surface and ensuring your young plants receive ample nutrients from this vital layer of soil. If your top soil is of the highest grade you will not require additional compost or fertiliser for the first growing season.
We've selected Westland as our top soil supplier and offer the convenience of delivery to your door with your hedging plants or turf. Or, on a different date of your choice if needed. Top soil has to be delivered on a pallet so if we are splitting your order into two delivery dates the top soil element of the order must be at least £350 to qualify for free delivery. If your order does not total £350 there will be a pallet charge delivery supplement. To establish applicable costs, please call the sales team who will be happy to advice you.
