Spiral Rabbit Guards (60cm X 40mm) Plant Protection Guards

Our spiral rabbit guards are easy and quick to install, providing protection from wildlife and from harmful herbicides or harsh weather. Made from transparent polypropylene, they allow for natural levels of photosynthesis and trap heat and moisture around the stem, which provides an enhanced growing environment for your bare roots. This helps them to establish quicker, with less failures.

Advantageously, spiral rabbit guards expand naturally to accommodate the plant's growth and development, whilst still offering maximum protection. Our spiral rabbit guards offer at least three seasons of optimum shielding for your plants.

It's always a tricky decision whether or not to use rabbit guards - as they can be expensive in larger quantities, therefore, sometimes we recommend to people who are nervous about rabbits that they try without initially and order rabbit guards/canes later if the rabbits are taking too many plants. On the other hand, if you know there's definitely a rabbit problem in your area, then you can't avoid needing them.

Rabbits can only reach up 60cm (though hares can reach higher) so if you buy plants above that height, the rabbits might strip them bare at the base but at least you'll have some top growth (and anyway taller plants are too difficult to fit into rabbit guards). It's worth also buying canes if you are using rabbit guards as they help pin the rabbit guard in place. Canes can also be useful in windy locations as general plant supports.
