Ensure you are registered for the Rural Payments Service with the RPA and that the land you would like the grant for has a parcel reference number.

If not, you must register the land first

Apply for the grant by either:

1) authorising a land agent to apply on your behalf

2) applying yourself online or by email/post

The RPA will confirm your eligibility and then send out an agreement offer letter.

Sign the agreement and send back within 20 days to confirm you are proceeding with the grant and the work

We’ll provide comprehensive advice and give you a full quote.

Once happy, order your plants, plant protection and any feed required.

We’ll then arrange delivery on a date to suit you

Your order will be delivered on pallets on the date agreed. You can now plant up your boundary.

On completion of the work, you can make your claim to the RPA for the grant payment
