Description
Vinca minor ‘La Grave’, also known as ‘Azurea Flore Pleno’ or simply blue periwinkle, is a reliable, evergreen groundcover ideal for filling difficult areas of the garden. With its neat, trailing habit and glossy dark green leaves, this variety provides dense, year-round coverage that suppresses weeds and thrives where many plants struggle.
In spring-and often intermittently through summer-it produces charming lavender-blue flowers, adding a soft splash of colour to borders, slopes, beneath shrubs, and shady garden corners. Hardy, vigorous, and very low maintenance, Vinca minor is ideal for erosion control, edging, mass planting, and naturalising.
Supplied in a P9 pot, this young plant establishes quickly and spreads steadily to create a durable carpet of evergreen foliage.

Position: Grow in partial shade or full shade. Tolerates sun if soil remains moist.
Planting: Plant in well-drained soil. Enrich with compost if soil is very poor, though Vinca is generally tolerant.
Watering & Feeding: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, water only during prolonged dry spells. Feed lightly in spring if desired.
Pruning: Trim back after flowering to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Cut back wandering stems if they spread too far.
Winter Care: Fully hardy and evergreen. No special winter care required.
