Description
Hebe ‘Midsummer Beauty' (Veronica Midsummer Beauty) is a delightful evergreen shrub with a bushy rounded habit and deep glossy foliage, tinged purple when young. In summer through to autumn long pink-lilac flower spikes or racemes adorn the plant and gradually fade to white. Loved for its year-round glossy foliage and long-lasting flowers which which are especially attractive to bees it’s a superb choice for beds or borders. As with many Hebes it's also a popular choice for gardeners in coastal locations due to its high salt tolerance and is also drought resistant too.
Veronica 'Midsummer Beauty' grows best in full sun or partial shade but may need fleece to protect it in winter in colder areas. it likes all soils as long as they are moist and free-draining but does not like wet or waterlogged conditions.
Hebe Midsummer Beauty is a larger growing Hebe reaching around 1.5 to 2.5m in height and 1.5m spread. Simply trim after flowering to keep a tidy or more compact shape.
