Tulameen Raspberry Bush 40/60cm 2L Pot Rubus idaeus 'Tulameen'

Rubus idaeus 'Tulameen'
The Tulameen raspberry bush is a highly versatile and popular mid-to-late summer fruiting variety, renowned for its high yields of large, bright red berries. This floricane variety, which fruits on second-year wood, is known for producing exceptionally sweet, conical-shaped fruit that is perfect for eating fresh or using in jams. The berries are well-spaced, making them easy to pick from mid-July to mid-August, and they also freeze well. The fruit has a deep pink colour, weighs around 4 grams each, and boasts outstanding keeping qualities after being picked.
Tulameen raspberry canes, which were first bred as a Glen Prosen cross in British Columbia, can grow tall but are easy to manage. They have excellent winter hardiness, though they may be late to appear in the spring. The bushes are thornless, with recommended spacing of 45 cm between plants, making them a suitable choice for UK gardens and allotments. The Tulameen variety is also recognised by the RHS Plants for Pollinators programme, highlighting its value in supporting local wildlife.
