Description
Tilia × europaea ‘Pallida’, commonly known as the Common Lime, is a classic avenue and landscape tree that performs exceptionally well when trained as a pleached screen. Its dense canopy of fresh green heart-shaped leaves forms a beautiful structured panel, ideal for creating privacy and architectural interest in gardens.
In early summer, clusters of small pale yellow flowers appear, producing a delicate fragrance and attracting bees and other pollinators. The foliage provides lush coverage through summer before turning soft yellow tones in autumn.
When trained as a pleached tree, ‘Pallida’ creates a formal living screen above a clear stem, making it perfect for lining boundaries, terraces, and formal garden designs.
Supplied as a pleached tree with 10–12cm girth and approximately 1.8m clear stem height (pot grown), this mature framework provides immediate screening and structure.
