Description
This compact sarcococca may be small, but it packs a powerful punch. Its creamy-white flowers release a gorgeous sweet scent in midwinter, when little else is blooming, hence its name 'Sarcococca 'Fragrant Valley'. All wrapped in neat, glossy evergreen leaves.
Great for small gardens or shaded corners that need a winter lift. Pop it near a doorway or path to enjoy the scent each time you walk past. Low maintenance, wildlife-friendly and ideal for containers or borders.
This is a shade loving plant and will grow in partial or full shade as well as full sun, but does best in a sheltered location. Plant in moist but well-drained humus-rich soil. Sarcococca 'Fragrant Valley' grows at a slow to average rate and grows to around 40-60cm tall and 60-80cm wide.
Hardly needs pruning — just a light trim in spring if shaping is needed making it very low maintenance and easy to grow.
Supplied in a 9cm pot for planting at any time.
