Description
Spiraea japonica 'Albiflora' is a compact deciduous shrub with soft green foliage and rounded clusters of pure white flowers through summer. The blooms contrast beautifully with the foliage, creating a soft and elegant effect. In autumn, the leaves take on beautiful gold and orange tones for extended seasonal interest.
‘Albiflora’ is a lovely addition to borders, wildlife gardens or low informal hedges. It’s attractive to bees and butterflies and makes a gentle, unfussy alternative to brighter pink Spiraeas.
Plant in full sun in moist but well-drained soil. It’s hardy and tolerant of most conditions, growing to about 60–80cm tall and wide.
Prune back hard in early spring to maintain shape and encourage a strong flush of new flowering growth.
Supplied in a 9cm pot for planting at any time of the year.
