Description
Cistus 'Silver Pink' (Cistus x argenteus 'Silver Pink') is a pink-flowering Rock Rose originally from the Canaries where it grows in poorer or rockier soils quite happily. Featuring delicate, papery-petalled flowers with yellow and white centres, this compact evergreen shrub flowers in abundance in the summer, changing daily, as the flowers only tend to last for a single day!
Cistus 'Silver Pink' will grow in any soils, but they must be good draining soils. It thrives in sunshine, is very drought tolerant and low maintenance. However, being of mediterranean/Canarian origin, it doesn't like the cold so needs a nice sheltered location and protection in winter.
Growing to only between 50cm and 1m height and spread this pretty shrubby rose is ideal placed at the front of a sunny sheltered border or even in a large container.
