Description

Prunus lusitanica ‘Angustifolia’, commonly known as Portuguese Laurel, is a refined evergreen tree or large shrub prized for its narrow, glossy dark green leaves and rich burgundy-red stems. Its naturally neat, upright growth habit makes it ideal for formal gardens, screening, and architectural planting.

In early summer, fragrant white flower spikes appear, attracting pollinators, followed by small dark berries in autumn. The dense evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and privacy, making it an excellent choice for hedging, topiary, or specimen planting.

Hardy and adaptable, ‘Angustifolia’ performs well in a wide range of soil types and tolerates coastal and urban conditions.

Supplied as a 12/14cm girth specimen approximately 1.8m in height (pot grown), this well-established plant provides immediate structure and evergreen presence.
