Description
Pieris 'Mountain Fire' is a medium-sized bushy, evergreen and hardy shrub. Young leaves are red, turning coppery and finally to dark green as they mature. In mid-spring it bears gently drooping clusters of small, white, bell-shaped flowers which are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
This shrub prefers acidic, fertile and moist, well-drained soil and a sunny or partly shaded, sheltered position in which to thrive.
