Description

Agastache 'Blue Fortune' is commonly known as Giant Hyssop 'Blue Fortune'. In summer, this deciduous herbaceous perennial produces dense flower spikes of violet-blue flowers over the leafy green aromatic foliage, which last through autumn. Overall Agastache 'Blue Fortune' is a very upright, vertical accent plant that is very striking especially planted en masse.

Due to its easy-care nature, yet abundant attributes and appeal, Agastache 'Blue Fortune' has both the RHS Award for Garden Merit and Plants for pollinators who are drawn in by the eye-catching flower spikes. This fairly hardy perennial is unfussy of soil type as long as it's moist but well-drained and will grow in a full sun position in any garden, with minimal fuss, but does better in a more sheltered location. It can be planted in beds and borders, against a wall and even suits gravel type gardens.

A mid-height plant Agastache 'Blue Fortune' grows to a maximum of around 1m and 40cm spread. The only pruning required is trimming of spent flowerheads and stems to encourage further blooms.
