Geranium x oxonianum 'Wargrave Pink'
Geranium x oxonianum 'Wargrave Pink' is a popular evergreen Cranesbill Geranium variety with excellent hardiness in the UK climate. This perennial is evergreen but may lose leaves in very cold winters. However, it is the longevity of flowering which makes this a sought after variety, often in flower from May through to October. The 5-petalled saucer shaped flowers are a deeper pink on emerging, fading to a lighter pink colour as they mature. They are grouped in clusters over mid to dark-green, veined foliage providing an attractive contrast.
Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' is a fast-growing perennial making this a good option for filling space in borders. It's also a wildlife magnet, attracting, bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
Plant in a well-drained but moist soil in sunny or shady conditions.Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced fertiliser, watering well if the weather becomes hot and dry. If plants are looking a little tired through summer, simply remove any dead flower heads or old flowering stems to encourage healthy growth and further flowering.
Being fully hardy, Geranium 'Wargrave Pink' has a good tolerance and lower susceptibility to pests and diseases, as well as cold weather.
