Description

Bring a burst of purple-blue colour to your borders or pots in summer with this lovely perennial. Geranium 'Johnson's Blue' is a cranesbill geranium and unlike other varieties, its flowers sit on longish stalks sitting proud of the foliage. The flowers are an attractive pink-purple blue with darker coloured veins and the foliage is a verdant mid-green, against which the flowers contrast nicely.

Geranium johnsonii 'Johnson's Blue' will grow in any soil as long as moist and well-drained. It likes a sunny spot but will grow in partial shade too. As with all cransebill geraniums, it's an exceptionally hardy perennial so will tolerate even the worst winters and bloom again happily the following year.

This charming perennial will grow to a maximum height of 50cm and spread up to 1m but is fairly slow growing so won't overwhelm your beds/borders.
