Description
A true little gem, Fuchsia ‘Tom Thumb’ is a neat, compact fuchsia with small, tidy leaves and a mass of purple and red flowers. Its naturally bushy shape makes it a top pick for the front of borders or patio pots.
This lovely Fuchsia is hardy and low-growing, it’s great for adding long-lasting colour to small gardens or balcony pots. Pollinators adore the flowers, and it’s super easy to keep in shape without much fuss.
Plant your Fuchsia 'Tom Thumb' in either partial shade or sun, in moist, well-drained soil and preferably in a sheltered location to avoid wind being a nuisance to the blooms. 'Tom Thumb' will grow at a moderate rate but remains small, growing to only around 30-45cm height and spread on average.
To keep it looking tidy, in spring simply trim back to just above the new shoots. In colder areas, it may need a little bit of protection from frost.
