Description

With petals in a warm, burnt orange that glow in the sun, this compact coneflower adds a bold pop of colour to borders and containers. It flowers for weeks in late summer and autumn, and its upright habit means it always looks neat.

Echinacea 'Lakota Orange' is a magnet for pollinators and brilliant for hot, dry spots. ‘Lakota Orange’ is also low-fuss and long-lasting, and the seed heads provide a feast for birds through winter if left standing.

Plant your Echinacea 'Lakota Orange' in full sun in a sheltered location. Make sure the soil is free-draining as it most definitely doesn't like wet feet! With a moderate growth rate, it will grow to an average height and spread of 40-50cm tall by 30-40cm wide.

Easy to care for, simply snip off spent blooms for more flowers. Cut back old stems in late winter, or leave them up for wildlife interest.

Supplied in a 9cm pot for planting at any time.
