Description
Bergenia cordifolia is a robust, evergreen perennial valued for its bold, leathery foliage and clusters of bright pink spring flowers. Flowering in late winter to early spring, it provides much-needed early-season colour when few other plants are in bloom. Its large, heart-shaped leaves remain attractive year-round, often developing rich red and bronze tones in winter.
Exceptionally hardy and easy to grow, Bergenia cordifolia thrives in a wide range of garden conditions and is particularly well suited to borders, groundcover planting, woodland gardens, shady areas, and containers. Its dense foliage suppresses weeds, making it an excellent low-maintenance choice for problem areas of the garden.
