Description

Bergenia ‘Abendglut’ (also known as ‘Evening Glow’) is a standout evergreen perennial prized for its dramatic, deep pink-red flower clusters and bold, glossy leaves. Flowering in early to mid-spring, it brings a vivid splash of colour to borders, pathways, and shaded garden areas. As one of the most richly coloured Bergenias, ‘Abendglut’ is perfect for adding warmth and vibrancy to the spring garden.

Its large, leathery leaves form a dense evergreen clump that provides structure throughout the year. In colder weather, the foliage often deepens to rich red, maroon, or bronze tones, adding extra winter interest. Hardy, easy to grow, and tolerant of challenging conditions, this variety thrives in sun, partial shade, or full shade and performs well even in poorer soils.

Supplied in a P9 pot, it establishes quickly and spreads gradually to create long-lasting, weed-suppressing groundcover.
