Description

One of the prettiest Japanese Anemones, ‘September Charm’ produces masses of soft, silvery-pink blooms with a golden centre from late summer into autumn. Its upright stems sway elegantly above deep-green foliage.

Anemone hupehensis 'September Charm' is a classic border perennial that provides a real lift late in the season. It’s reliable, wildlife-friendly and adds a light, romantic touch to cottage gardens or part-shaded planting schemes. It has two RHS Awards, one for Garden Merit and also Plants for Polinators, reflecting its popularity and benefit to the garden.

Plant in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and choose a spot in sun or partial shade. It prefers a sheltered location where the tall stems can stay upright. Growing up to 90cm tall and spreading slowly to around 60cm, it’s best left to naturalise.

Cut back after flowering and mulch each spring to support healthy growth. Divide in early spring for optimal health and flower production.

Supplied in a 9cm pot for planting at any time of the year.
