Acer campestre, commonly known as Field Maple, is a versatile and attractive native tree widely used in pleached form for creating elegant garden screens and architectural planting. Its small, lobed green leaves form a dense canopy through spring and summer, offering effective privacy and structure.
When trained as a pleached tree, Field Maple develops a flat panel of foliage above a clear stem, making it perfect for lining garden boundaries, pathways, and terraces. In autumn, the foliage turns beautiful shades of golden yellow, adding warm seasonal colour to the garden.
