Flowering Pot Grown Hedge Packs

Flowering Pot Grown Hedge Packs

Who doesn’t like to see flowers? From daisies in summer to bunches on Mother’s day, the colourful beauty and pleasing scent have become a huge part of British life. We love flowers so much that we bring them into our home, we pluck them from the ground and give them to loved ones, we spend hours planting them in our gardens so we can sit back and spend our downtime surrounded by bright living splendour.
At Hedges Direct we love looking out into the nursery during spring and summer and seeing the hedges at their best, full of flower and colour. We know that many of our customers feel the same way about their own gardens, eager to see seasonal flowering and additional colour. To help customers achieve this we have introduced our pot grown flowering hedge packs.

The immediate benefit of these packs is that you will be purchasing a carefully created pack of pot grown hedge plants that create exciting flowers and are chosen to complement each other perfectly. Specially selected species known to produce prominent flowers, combined in a way that gives you a variety of flowers without giving you a headache trying to put the species together yourself.

You can expect to receive a combination of plants such as Escallonia Red (rubra macrantha), White (Iveyi) and Pink (Donard Seedling), as well as Guelder Rose (Viburnum opulus), Flowering Currant (Ribes sanguineum) and Forsythia. All carefully chosen to create a strong vibrant aesthetic, with plenty of flowers.

Prickly Pot Grown Hedge Packs

Prickly Pot Grown Hedge Packs

Everybody enjoys the feeling of being safe, of knowing you are protected, and the right hedging can offer this. A huge reason that people choose hedging over other options such as fencing is that it can offer a more effective and more attractive boarder to your land and one of the ways to make protecting your property with hedging even more effective is by utilising prickly evergreen hedging with thorns to keep intruders at bay. Why have a flimsy wooden fence that will need replacing regularly when you could have a pretty and colourful protective barrier that contributes to the eco-system as well as keeping your grounds safe.
The immediate benefit of these packs is that they consist of complimenting hedging species with thorns and sharp foliage to make sure that not only will your plants look great but they will also provide an effective boarder. These prickly plants are all evergreen species and so they will keep their leaves all year round. Hedging species featured in this pack such as Pyracantha will benefit from a good rate of growth, growing approximately 50cm per year and will require pruning once or twice a year. Other species that may be included in the bundle include Berberis Darwinii & Julianae as well as Holly which all feature seasonal interest such as berries, flowers and thorns as well as sharp leaves, guaranteed to leave a mark.

Wildlife Friendly Pot Grown Hedge Packs

Wildlife Friendly Pot Grown Hedge Packs

It is a simple pleasure in life to look outside and see the wildlife around us. Listening to bird songs, spotting hedgehogs and generally enjoying the world that lives around you. It is one of the reasons people go walking, or spend so much time in their gardens. The UK’s wildlife is one of its defining features, something to enjoy and something to be proud of.
At Hedges Direct we take great pride in our role in helping develop the UK’s landscape and assisting the local wildlife. In an effort to further this contribution to the nation’s wildlife we have introduced our range of wildlife friendly pot grown hedge packs.

Many of the hedges within these packs will have berries which feed birds and hedgehogs. Many such as Blackthorn and Field Maple will include flowers which produce pollen and nectar, a key component in our eco-system and a necessary food for bees and other insects.
With beneficial and attractive plants such as Hawthorn and Hornbeam you’ll not only be providing the local environment with the best possible home you will also be creating a beautiful perimeter on your outside space that changes and develops as the seasons pass, giving you an ever changing sight of colour and interest all season.
