A small and beautiful weeping cherry tree, Kiku Shidare Zakura makes a great feature tree and is ideal for limited spaces. Growing to 2.5 x 2.5 in 20 years this pretty flowering tree offers large blousy pink flowers in April-May which create a stunning display. The new foliage is bronze in colour, in autumn turning vivid orange. Also known as Cheals Weeping Cherry, this small tree will grow well in most positions as long as shallow chalk and wet is avoided.

Long racemes of bright yellow, highly scented flowers hang from branches in May and are very popular with wildlife such as bees. This ornamental tree is often used to create a laburnum arch.
